Featured in Issue #3 FLAT FILES

Flat Files is a periodical published in Houston by Flats, a nonprofit that supports photographers to connect and show their work in intimate, non-traditional settings. Article by Russell Lord.

“The work of Kristina Knipe is dedicated to exploring both what a photograph is and what it can do. Her photographs are about memory and memory-making, about the world and world-making. In embracing the active and productive qualities of the photograph, Knipe has managed to create a body of work that gives her collaborators a way to express themselves without sacrificing their own power and privacy. At the same time, she gives us a glimpse of their experiences, pulling back the curtain just a little and inviting us to participate in the process of worldmaking.”

CopenHagen Photography Festival 2023

Selected works from “Talisman” will be featured at the Copenhagen Photography Festival June 1-11, 2023. This year, the festival is dedicated to the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals. With the overarching theme of ‘Rewilding’, the pieces will be in the exhibition park situated in the urban wilderness of Beddingen on Refshaleøen, which used to be an industrial shipyard building site.
